Representative Carole Fiola

Representative Carole Fiola was elected in September 2013 to the House of Representatives for the 6th Bristol District which includes the northern part of Fall River and the Assonet part of Freetown. She is a graduate of Durfee High School and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Prior to being elected, Representative Fiola was a realtor and a member of Fall River's business community. She served as an elected member of the Governor's Council from 2001-2011, providing advice and consent for judicial, clerk magistrate, appellate tax board, and other appointees nominated by the Governor.

For the 2021-2022 legislative session, Rep. Fiola served as Chair of the Joint Committee on Tourism, Arts & Cultural Development, and also served on the Special Joint Committee on Redistricting. She currently is a member of the following boards: UMass Women into Leadership, Housing Policy Working Group, Bristol Elder Services Advisory Council, Durfee High School Athletic Foundation, the Jack Brayton/Durfee Trust Fund and has served her community on many boards throughout her career.
