Dr. Barrie Baker

Dr. Baker has over 15 years’ experience in Medicaid Managed Care administration. As the Chief Medical Officer for the Public Plans Division of Tufts Health Plan, she is responsible for more than 300,000 of Tufts’ Medicaid, Duals and Commercial Qualified Health Plan members. Prior to coming to Massachusetts, she also served as the medical director for Coventry’s Medicaid programs in Pennsylvania and Maryland, and as Senior Medical Director for Keystone Mercy Health Plan. Before joining the health insurance industry, Barrie spent seven years as a family physician in underserved areas.

Barrie earned her M.D. from the Medical College of Pennsylvania, an M.B.A. from Eastern University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Temple University. She is board certified in Family Practice. She has also presented numerous workshops & talks on Health Care Disparities and Cultural Diversity nationally over the past 20 years
